Omanu is one of the beach breaks that spans along the Bay of Plenty coastline of New Zealand. This site is a compilation of surfing shots I have taken over the years and a few that my Dad and other friends have taken. Most of the shots are taken at Omanu with the exception of a few from various other breaks. You can click on the images to see them enlarged and feel free to leave comments about each photo.

Big Wednesday - 31 March 1996 - Main Beach, Mount Maunganui

This photo was taken a few years back by my Dad. That's me sitting on the rock taking photos too. On this particular day I remember there were only two guys out surfing. It was so big they were jumping off the end of Leisure Island in order get out the back.
